Nice to meet you.

My life has been, and continues to be, an exciting learning and teaching journey.

I’ve been drawn to educating, understanding and advising others for most of my adult life.

And I’m proud to say that I haven’t shied away from exploring new avenues, learning new knowledge and skills, and reinventing myself many times, including moving across country and across continents.

Expanding Experiences

My learning and teaching journey has thus come through various roles with me as teacher (I’ve taught all ages from 4 years to 85 years!), lecturer, private tutor, psychographics analyst, marketing researcher, natural health products distributor, content creator, digital marketer, writer, author, poet, advocate, activist, and now life coach.

This immersion in different roles, places, skills and jobs, and with different types of people, from different walks of life, cultures and age-groups, has, I feel, given me keen insight into multiple circumstances, viewpoints, value systems and experiences of human beings.

The theme that runs through all of these is my desire to communicate, support, inform and educate, so that others live happier and more intentional lives, in tune with their higher selves.

Adapting to Adversity

It’s said that adversity is an asset, particularly for anyone working in the fields of interacting with and supporting human beings, and where psychology is a factor, like life coaching, counselling, care-giving, teaching or mentoring.

I’m happy to report that I’ve had my fair share of adversity (much like anyone has, I imagine – but perhaps the flavour and effect have been different).

Adversity can (eventually) have a positive effect and thus become an asset, because challenges can result in building resilience, empathy, emotional depth and spiritual growth when one faces and works through those challenges.

These attributes are, I feel, key characteristics of a good life coach.

The Forgiveness Fix

In terms of my my own adversity, I’ve realised that I will never know the full story of why I, and my younger siblings to a lesser degree, suffered what today would be referred to as ‘neglect’ during our formative years. In those days, there was no intervention by schools, social services or psychologists.

There were also a few instances where we had to give up our family home, friends, and everything familiar and move to a different area because of financial issues. I now recognise that one of my parents was struggling, and wasn’t fully aware of the effect their mental health issues had on their children.

There is nothing else to do but forgive them, because they didn’t know – and I can easily do that now.

This only came, of course, after decades of unhappiness in which I experienced low self-esteem, chronic shyness and social anxiety (even today I sometimes feel awkward in group social situations), physiological issues, and other mental health issues. I attended counselling a few times but didn’t connect with the counsellor and never felt that the therapy sessions that I underwent uncovered the core of my issues.

Beyond the Believable

I’ve always been fascinated with what lies beyond our physical or material lives – what you might call ‘the truth behind the veil’ (I’m an Aquarian, after all!) – so I pursued more esoteric sources of insight, self-development and healing, including astrology, numerology, tarot readings, intuition, affirmations and manifestation.

These were and have long been a revelation to me, providing significant guidance and a pathway to spiritual exploration and development.

I love nature, animals and the infinite possibilities of beauty in the universe. Luckily for me, I am quite well grounded, organised and practical too, which gives me the best of both worlds. Or so I like to think!

The Here and Now

I feel privileged, excited and honoured to offer my life coaching services to you.

I recognise that you, my client, have come to a place where you feel that you need to move forward with an aspect of your life; but even more significant than that, you’ve decided that you need help to do so, and that is both a vulnerability and a strength.

Firstly, congratulate yourself for stepping up. Secondly, you’ve come this far in your life, and every experience, whether positive or negative, has lead you to here and now, so let’s not lose any momentum.

The button below will take you to a page with FAQs about my life coaching services. On the same page, just below those, you will see links to book your chosen life coaching program.

Onwards and upwards!
